Mighty Friends Indeed
Our white-tipped wings are touching in formations vast and wide
To be valued by the ones
Who offer such sincerity
To all they practice, all they give
And all they offer up for me
To be valued, to be loved
By ones who demonstrate such gall
Such absolute impenetrable
Candour and as they fall
And as they rise in majesty
Their rusted wings are dropped
And cast aside, as with the spirit’s soar
They learn to swoop and glide
I can’t express the gratitude
That brings me ever close to you
Through every one of these redeemers
Demonstrating truth
Our white-tipped wings are touching
In formations vast and wide
We conquer skies that, troubles past,
Are opening, divine
Our joy-filled hearts are opened to
The words we speak, the light we bring
As, standing at the fountain of your love,
We stoop and drink
